Matt R. Richter

Matt has more than 20 years of comprehensive experience in the investment field, including expertise in a broad range of alternative investment types. He has primary responsibility for developing and managing 1900 Wealth’s innovative alternative investment platform, cultivating relationships with new business clients, and advising existing clients. Matt is adept at analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of each investment strategy and providing clients sound, highly-personalized advice on how to grow capital while minimizing risk. Prior to joining 1900 Wealth, Matt spent nine years as Senior Portfolio Manager and Treasurer of an Austin-based family office, where he oversaw and managed public equity and private alternative asset investments in various industries. He was also executive director of MKM Partners in Austin, where he built and leveraged relationships with institutional clients, hedge funds, and pension funds. He also served as Senior Vice President of Westlake Securities Inc. for two years and held various institutional equity roles for Stifel Financial Corporation in Denver, Colorado.  Matt graduated from Colorado State University with a B.A. in Economics.
